With MAHLE’s My SmartBike app, personalize assistance, review NOVA ride data, record routes and keep the system up to date. Bluetooth and ANT+ connect power and cadence sensors, with Apple Watch support.
The optional MAHLE eX1 battery adds 171 Wh, taking total capacity from 350 Wh to 521 Wh. It can add up to 60 km of range, depending on the route and assistance level.

How does the assistance feel?
Natural and progressive. The torque sensor adapts the motor’s response to the effort you put into every pedal stroke.
Can I pedal without assistance?
Yes. You can switch the system off and pedal as normal. Above 25 km/h, the motor disengages automatically.
What range does NOVA have?
It depends on terrain, elevation gain, rider weight, conditions and the assistance level. In AURUM tests, NOVA has completed rides of up to 140 km and 2,300 m of climbing, mostly on the lowest assistance level.
What is the maximum tyre clearance?
NOVA takes tyres up to 38 mm in both Road and All-Road configurations.
Does it work with 1x and 2x drivetrains?
Yes. The platform supports both configurations, depending on the setup you choose.
Is the rear wheel easy to remove?
Yes. The MAHLE system makes the electrical connection automatically when the wheel is refitted, with no cables to connect by hand.
Can NOVA’s range be extended?
Yes. NOVA is compatible with the optional MAHLE eX1 external battery, sold separately. Its 171 Wh raise total battery capacity from 350 Wh to 521 Wh and can add up to 60 km of range, depending on the route and assistance level. Thanks to NOVA’s three bottle mounts, the battery can be fitted while keeping two bottle positions free for hydration.
What assistance modes does NOVA offer?
NOVA has three assistance levels, which you can customise in the My SmartBike app by adjusting power, acceleration and response. Smart Assist mode also adapts the assistance automatically to the gradient, the rider’s weight and the effort required.

Handlebar and stem are sold separately. Compatible with the AURUM monocoque cockpit for a cleaner, more integrated setup.
