ESSENTIA ODYSSEY: 540 kilometers to the essence

On July 10th, Javier Pastor, member of the AURUM Bikes marketing team, set out on a journey he had imagined his whole life: riding from Madrid to Málaga non-stop.
More than 540 kilometers and 4,850 meters of elevation connecting not just two cities, but two parts of his own story.

Born in Málaga and now based in Madrid, Javier decided to turn that familiar drive into a personal odyssey aboard the new AURUM ESSENTIA Aurora White—a color that represents light, balance, and emotion.
Over the course of almost 26 hours, he rode from Puente de Toledo to the sea, crossing the vast plains of La Mancha, the Andalusian mountains, and a long summer night. No filters. No shortcuts. Just him, the bike, and the road.

ESSENTIA ODYSSEY is more than a physical challenge. It is a story about determination, vulnerability, and the beauty of adventure. About the courage to face the unknown, and about how cycling can become a way to return home.

Filmed throughout the entire route, the project has become a documentary that captures every phase of the experience: the sunrise, the heat, the fatigue, the darkness, and the emotion of the finish line. An honest reflection of what it means to push beyond your limits.
