221 DAYS

The youngest bicycle brand to debut at the Giro d’Italia.

221 days to make a dream come true. AURUM, as a high-performance bicycle brand, was born on September 29th, 2020, after several years of development and dozens of tests. 7 months later, specifically 221 days, the brand created by Alberto Contador and Ivan Basso will be at the start of the 104th Giro d’Italia in Turin with the EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team, on May 8th.

PATIENCE

We know that 221 days is a very short time, it is a record time, however our philosophy is not to rush, we leave that to our AURUM Magma model! Among our values, we account for a job well done, the care for the details, the patience, taking the necessary time to achieve the results you deserve, only in this way have we come to create the best possible bicycle, a bicycle that stands out for it’s balance between lightness, aerodynamics, stiffness and comfort.

Thanks to the effort in the development process with Alberto and Ivan’s feedback and experience, AURUM Magma is the youngest bicycle to make its debut in a Grand Tour with 221 days.

IVAN BASSO WORD´S

Ivan Basso: “The Giro d’Italia is the most beautiful race in the world. The pink jersey is the most beautiful jersey in the world. Every child dreams of racing with it. Not so long ago,  the cyclist from “our team” that will participate in the Giro, were running home after school to sit  right in front of the TV not to miss a minute of the stage. We come to this Giro with a strong team and the desire to do something special, to try in some way to leave our mark and to race in our own way. We’ve worked hard and well: it is still not good enough as we believe that a team like ours should never feel satisfied, there is always room for improvement. But we’ve grown, we’ve grown as a team and as a working group, and we’re going to the Giro with the desire to grow further. We’re excited, and for me it will be nice to discover a race that has given me so much in my career under a new angle.”

AURUM has reached the bicycle market at a time of full effervescence, AURUM Magma is the commitment, it is the model that brings together all the experience accumulated over the years of Alberto Contador and Ivan Basso.

We are ready for this great challenge … and also for the Giro d’Italia. This does not end here; this story has just begun.
